Can't play certain games anymore

Good evening, I have had my son's Xbox for a few years now. He passed away in 2015 due to cancer. His brother and I have been playing all the games on it without any problems even a year ago. We have GTA5 and Red Dead Redemption and when I tried to start it again, it gives me the message that the account holder must sign in. I set up my own account and had been playing it, now it won't let me. I also purchased Untitled Goose Game and I received the same message. How can I resolve this? Aaron gave me the password shortly before he passed but it no longer works. I'm not sure what to do. I love playing them because it reminds me of him. (I am not very good at it). I am the one who bought it. Please help!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I want you not to worry about the situation because I am here to help you out!

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2 to 3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If the issue persists, please try to check you games in the order games history in this following website : Microsoft account | Home

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

Just tried to finish State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition, but there is the same Problem, can't unlock Achievements there. Did the Survey again, but does anyone read those? It's about 45 days since my first Report and still no unlocks. Playing Game
without Achievements seems Pointless.

Already did that. Even bought a new console, did't join the Insider Program and DNS Server is 8.8.8.8

Prey and Everspace (tested on Xbox and PC) don't unlock ANY Chivo, Portal Knights and Tokyo 42 work fine.
