Can't play any xbox one games with bestie. Bc games till the cows come home.

I have been dealing with this issue for a long time now. I've talked to xbox support and they have no idea. So the issues is. The person i play games with about 99% of the time can't join each others games. We can play bc games on the xbox one but no xbox
one games at all. We can be in party chats just fine so thats ok. And we have done everything support has told us to do and still nothing. We have to have a third person so we can play together. And waiting for a third is a total pain. So is there anyone out
there having the same issue or maybe some way to fix it? Whats tge point of wasting money on something that doesn't work.

Mass Effect? I'm not a very good shooter gamer either but there something about it I like, might be the RPG side of it. However if you love RPG's, yes fable 3 is great. Bioshock, Fallout are popular. Do you like the lego games? Lego starwars is a blast,
playing with friends is better. But it also depends on personal taste, I could play spyro till the cows come home.

I won't stop complaining till they make the Xbox One BC with 360 games, till then I'll keep raising my voice.

 

Do you get any error when trying to connect online with your friend? Are there any specific game titles or all online games in general?

 

No it just doesn't connect. Its weird it only effects xbox one games. We can play backward compatible games online with no problem.

What kind of troubleshooting have you tried? It sounds like a NAT type issue but we would need to run network tests on both console to confirm. If you do notice a difference it NAT types, visit our NAT

We have done everything to fix this. Our NAT types are always open. I ever did a complete reset on the xbox. Its just maddening that we can't play.

I understand this issue can be very frustrating. We need a few more details to be able to better understand and assist with this issue. Have you tried switching who is inviting who to these games? Have you or your friend tried a different network?

For example, using a mobile hotspot or a different home network instead of your home network? sometimes port forwarding is needed even though the NAT types are open.

Different ports are needed for Xbox one then what is needed for xbox 360. So that could be the reason that it works for 360 Backwards compatible games and not Xbox one games.
