Can't play any games!!!!!!

This is the second time I've gone through this problem. I insert a game in to play and it never gets past the title screen. I've inserted various games such as NBA 2k15, Dragon Age Inquisition, Call of Duty AW, and none of them go past the menu screen. My
Xbox live is connected and showing on the dashboard, but I just can't get any games to play. This is extremely frustrating being that I'm a hardcore gamer who just spent over $600 2 months ago to enjoy this system and the games, but this is becoming too much.
I'm not sure if this problem originates from the console or Xbox live. I've always been a fan of Xbox since the original Xbox and never really had a major issue until now. Please rectify this ASAP before I start to regret my purchase!!

Can't Play any game

can't play Mahjong or any game. I get " failed to create DirectX device". What does that mean and how can I fix this?

Can't play any games !?

Hi ! Since yesterday my games stop at the begining of the loading screen and it becomes a black screen .

Once in a 10 try ... the code was 0x800706ab ...but it don't show anymore ...just black screen .

Games tried over and over was Destiny 2 , Assassin's creed syndicate and South park TFBW

What can i do??

Chill man, we have all had this issue and it's not fun. Have you tried taking the game out, turning off the system, unplugging all cords and then trying? I fixed my issue that way.

Might have to ship the stupid thing to microsoft or return it, I personally would of turned back if it did that the first week.. might of even gotten a ps4 instead

As Joseph 13K has mentioned, that's what I did and it solved the problem, I feel your pain as I've had various issues but Microsoft are quick to try and rectify them where possible.

Thanks, Joseph 13K. Frustrations got the best of me!!. It had been like 3 or 4 days this issue had been going on. I unplugged everything and games plays now!! Now what do I play first. . . lol! Thanks again to you all for you input. Greatly appreciated!!

Hello,

Try resetting your console by holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it's completely shut down. Turn it on and try again. I've had to do this two times in a row to get it to work before, but it worked. Let us know if it helps.

Depending on where you are based you might still be entitled to a Repair, replacement or refund by the retailer that sold it to you. Even if it's a more than a year old you should still get years of use out of it. In most cases upto 7 years for electronics.
Check your consumer rights, its well worth it.
