Can't Play Any Games On My Xbox 1

I am trying to play gta 5 but it wont let me and i try play other games i have and they dont work either and i dont know why. i put the disc in the xbox then press play and it comes up saying you have to buy the game or you dont own it or put disc in now.
please help me

Can't Play Any Games other than borderlands & L4D2.

I can't play any of my xbox games. The only xbox games I can play is Borderlands 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. All of my other games come up with a unreadable disk error. including games that have been installed and downloaded. So My Gears 3 installed game won't
play past 2 matches. My Gears of war 1 Game I downloaded 3 times after resetting the cache, deleting the game, turning off the console and waiting all night for the download. Since I couldn't play Gears 3 even though I installed it with a disk that had only
been used 4 times. I decided to give Microsoft more Money. I went out and purchased more Microsoft points bought Gears of War 3 Games On Demand. Downloaded it. And still I can't play past 1 to 2 matches. I am very Unhappy that most of my games are unplayable
and my Phat Xbox 360 is only 1 1/2 years old. If I can't get my games to work I don't see any reason sticking with xbox any longer if I can't play games on my gaming device. I would like a solution so that I can play my games.

"this profile is not allowed to play on xbox live" error message

I can't play black ops 3 on xbox 1 online as i keep getting an error message that says "this profile is not allowed to play on xbox live" but i can play fifa 16 on line on xbox 1 and also play any game on line on xbox 360. I've deleted my account and re-added
it, but it still the same. I have xbox live gold and i'm also old enough to play it

I have been having the same issue. Funny how this occurs right when they announce they're discontinuing xbox one machines and the new ones are coming out. I really hope thats not the reason.

Please why can't you just put this game on the xbox store so we can buy/download it on xbox 1? Def jam is my all time favorite game growing up and it's not fair that we can't play it on xbox 1. Please Microsoft can you just add Def jam fight for ny on the xbox list Please. Alot of people would love to play this game.

is there any def jam icon? I can't find it also. in any regions

After today's xbox update for windows 11, I can't play or download any games from my game pass unlimate. Nothing happens when I click play.

No. Although the game disc is backwards compatible, you can't play online anymore with any Xbox 1 game. The original Xbox service was shut down April 2010.

Hello,

Try resetting your console by holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it's completely shut down. Turn it on and try again. I've had to do this two times in a row to get it to work before, but it worked. Let us know if it helps.
