Can't play any games on GamePass except the ones on EA Play for PC

That error code is odd as, according to a couple of search engines, it doesn't exist.

Could you screenshot the page when it happens so we can see what's happening...sometimes that is more informative than just an error code.

First thing I would check is to make sure there are no corrupted system files:

Click on Windows icon bottom left of screen

Start typing "command prompt"

Click on "run as administrator when it appears

Type the following into the next window:

sfc/ scannow

Sorry to hear it. Which games are the ones not launching? Have they been removed from the pass? Please make sure that you're logged in to the PC, Windows Store, Xbox app and Xbox Console Companion (if not installed install it please) with the same account

windows 11 is working great for games and those off gamepass, i just got gamepass to try it again with win11. no issues with installsm, running games or deleting games. actually not had one crash or glitch and all works better than windows 10 which surprised me a bit.

i am even getting a few fps more in most games too.

OP are you logged into windows and the store using your microsoft account you use for gamepass, another thing to check and yes i know it may be daft, is the time and date correct and time zone, if that is out it can cause this issue too.

Exactly, when you google that error code, it shows nothing which is even weirder.

Also, running sfc /scannow did not find any violations.

I actually got that error when I was trying to launch The Outer World with administrative previleges. I got another code that I currently don't exactly remember when I was trying to launch Forza Horizon 4 but I did googled it and that was for authorisation even though I was already logged in to Xbox and Microsoft Store with active GamePass Ultimate sub.

I uninstalled both because they were not working so cannot provide with the screenshots at the time.

I'm actually using Win11 on Dev Channel and it got a new update this last week and to check if the issue with games launching is fixed or not, I installed Quake because it's small but still nothing.

What exactly happens is, if it is a game from Microsoft Studios, when clicking on play button in Xbox App, it simply give authorization error and if it is from some other studio, like Bethesda or some other, nothing happens on clicking Play and when I try to launch it from it's desktop icon or from Start Menu, it gives the following error

No, They are not. I had GamePass PC earlier and everything used to work properly but then one day I got notification that there is an offer on GamePass Ultimate so I upgraded but since the day GamePass PC subscription ended and GamePass Ultimate subscription started, I can only launch games that are on EA Play and that too from EA Desktop App only.

Now, because the GamePass Ultimate was a 3 month subscription, so I can't even go back to GamePass PC until it's over.

Any game that launches from Xbox app for Windows fails to launch and tried repairing and resetting the Xbox and Microsoft Apps, sign-out and then again sign-in on both the apps but still same thing.

For Example, Forza Horizon 4 used to work earlier but now it does not.
