    Can't play any dvd on my xbox one


    I can't play any dvd on my xbox one by the Blu-Ray player. I get a black screen and nothing further happens.

    Tried a "power reboot" and also put the console back to factory setting, but till now nothing worked out.

    Games work properly.

    Who can help me??

    Xbox One doesn't play DVDs but will play Blu-rays. Anyone else have this problem?

    The strangest thing. My OG Xbox One will play Blu-ray discs just fine. I've watched plenty of Blu-ray movies on it plus I've played many of my Xbox One games on it too (witch are on Blu-ray discs too). Unfortunately when it comes to DVDs, the One won't play
    them. Usually I wouldn't give a thought about it because I no longer have any DVDs and have no need to watch a DVD movie but the fact is that I cant access any of my Xbox 360 games either because those are on DVDs. Kind of strange and I'm hoping I can get
    a fix because I have allot of 360 games on discs that I can't play because of this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    TL;DR: Xbox One will play media on Blu-ray discs (Xbox One games/Movies) but won't even read DVDs (Xbox 360 games) witch means I can't play any BC games.

    I can no longer play DVDs via blu Ray player I get the error message 0x91d7000a

    I've tried the tips online but I still can't play DVDs on Xbox one ? Any ideas

    Have you verified that the region of the console and the region of the DVDs are the same? You can check here

    Thx for your reaction.

    The code on the dvd is "2" so it will be for Europe and my console is also for EN/NL/FR/DE/PT, so this must be ok.

    I don't know if I must check de code of the Blu-Ray player app, if so, I don't know how to do that.

    Xbox 360 peripherals will not function with Xbox one, are you trying to play the DVD version of these games, the kind that will work on a standard DVD player and does not require a computer or a game system? Because I can't find any record of these games

    Happy with my XBox 360 and heavily invested in my collection of favorite XBox 360 games. I have no use for a Microsoft game console that can't play my games. It's like someone trying to sell me a new DVD player that can't play my existing DVDs.

    Well, I've got this same issue. my original DVD drive was having issues...getting kicked from games, game freezing up and so on. I have another console so I just put this one away....Well I finally ordered a new dvd drive. Exact match to the one that
    was in it and now I have the same issue as the person who started this thread. Is there any fix? Is it the DVD drive? I can play on my other console with no issues, but can't play on this one

    What DVD are you trying to play? What prevents you from playing the DVD? Did you make sure that the DVD matches your region, and isn't imported?

    All 200+ DVDs and BluRays in my collection work perfectly fine on my Xbox One X as well as my old original Day One Xbox One.
