Can't play any backwards compatible games

    Can't play any backwards compatible games


    I was wondering if there's an easy fix for this issue.

    I start a backwards compatible game on my XB1 and when the 360 emulator has loaded I'm informed I can't play the title due to my profile having no online access, yet back on the xb1 dashboard I'm clearly connected.

    I'd be grateful for any advice, cheers.

    Already purchased games are asking me to buy again. (New Preview Program)

    It's definitely the preview program causing this. I can't play ANY backwards compatible game, and some Xbox one games.

    The Xbox One is not backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games so you can't play any 360 games on the Xbox One

    It looks like there is a service alert out right now that may be the cause of this. Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage

    This particular issue has been ongoing for the last few days. If you're still seeing the issue once it's cleared up though, please let us know. Can't play any backwards compatible games :)

    That game is not currently backwards compatible so it can't be played on the One. You can find a list of backwards compatible games here

    If it's not backwards compatible (and this game isn't) then no, it won't work. You can view the backwards compatibility list
    here. If a game is not on that list, you can't play it on an Xbox One.
