    Can't play a game because I can't sign in?


    I have xbox game pass and EA so that I can play games by subscription and downloaded Fallout New Vegas, I started a game with no problem then about two days later I changed my name on xbox live. I just clicked "check availability" of my new name change and without any warning it changed my gamertag to something "close" and now says I'm stuck unless I pay to change it. Even worse, now I cannot play New Vegas as it wants me to sign in on my old gamertag, which it won't allow. Its the same profile with a different name Microsoft stuck me with and now my game won't let me play it. What can I do?

    I can't sign in because of the passcode

    The passcode? This is only set on an acc to restrict access on it. It is set manually by whoever used the Xbox. You either gotta figure it out or call Xbox customer support to find out any other details on how to remove it.

    It appears that some other players are also experiencing the 0x87DD0033 error code at the moment.

    Try power cycling your Xbox console:

    Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or on your controller.

    If this doesn't work, try rebooting your router/modem, and report a service outage from the Xbox Status page if the error persists: https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

    On the Status page, select Report > Account & profile. Provide the error code in the additional feedback section.

    It's because Xbox is pretty much down. I have been having these same issues since last night. I can't play any games at all! Sometimes I can't even sign in.
