    Can't play a bought game on the Xbox One without Xbox Live Gold!


    So, I have this little problem with my Xbox One, well not the console itself but a game. I bought an Xbox One month or so ago and I got the Assassin's Creed Unity Bundle that came with Unity and AC IV: Black Flag and other stuff. Well, now I can't play Black
    Flag at all for some reason. Unity works fine, but when I try to play Black Flag, it gives me the message that you get when you try to play a ''games with gold'' game without Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One. Now I need Gold just to play Black Flag that came with
    the console. That doesn't make any sense. I don't know if there's any type of fix or something like that, but it's such a waste if I can't play it without Gold. I'm currently trying to re-download the game to see if it fixes it somehow but I doubt it. So,
    If anyone can help me with this in any way, please do leave your replies. Thanks a bunch!

    Xbox Live Gold can't be find in my subscriptions

    I have bought Xbox one in China and activated xbox live gold（China edition).

    Then I return purchase, and I bought another Xbox One in HK, and I activated 14-days Xbox live gold on this xbox one.

    And then I bought 12-month Xbox Live Gold on this page(https://account.xbox.com/Subscriptions/Index?title=Gold&purchaseIndex=-1&xr=accountportal),
    and success(I received the message from bank that tell me my credit card has a HK$368 expense) and have an order number:567453564790700015



    But I can't find it on my Xbox One, and I can't play Thief（xbox live gold free from 2015-12 to 2016-01-16, I got this game）.

    And I can't find 12-month Xbox Live Gold(I bought as HK$368) in my Subscriptions. I can only find China Edition Xbox Live Gold.

    Does this trade success?

    That is certainly odd behaviour. Are you able to try power cycling the console to see if that helps? You can do this by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

    Hi. No, every platform have own rules. Xbox rule and feature is Xbox LIVE GOLD. And without Xbox LIVE Gold you can't play multiplayer games. That's all. Although Xbox LIVE Gold is not an obligation to buy. This is completely voluntary. But without Gold
    you don't have several features unlocked.

    1- you can't play the Xbox One games but the original 360 or Xbox games

    2- for someone else to play the multiplayer pair without gold, you need to configure the gold account as the main one in the xbox where you will play and the other user without problems can play in another xbox

    You've always needed xbox live to play online,it's never been completely free ever since the days of the original xbox.

    They have just removed the requirement for a xbox live gold sub to play free to play games & use party chat so maybe that's what you heard about.

    As mentioned,you don't need gold to carry on playing xbox 360 games with gold but you do for xbox one games.You still keep any gwg you've downloaded,you just can't access the xbox one games without a gold sub.
