Can't play 18+ games and some other games on PC

This is due to a little glitch, that could happen sometimes, happened to me already too.

First check if your account is indeed as 18+ (we would need it to be in order to continue the procedure.)

Try changing it this way if it does not.

Go to the top right corner, click on your avatar

click on my Microsoft account

Click on "Your Information" on the top tab

go on the date of birth

Change to a date that matches age 18+.

Once this is done, log out your Microsoft account from all open browser sites,

wait 20 minutes for the updates to take effect on the server, then click the link below.

Look for the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab

And change the settings "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live", "You can create and join clubs", and "You can join multiplayer games" to Allow.

If all of those are already to allow, try to change to not allow, wait for 20 minutes and then, change it back to allow.

Once all that is done, wait another 20 minutes to update the changed settings and that's it.

Probably play some Destiny 2, Halo, MCC & FIFA 18. Might play some other games as well, but which ones, I have no idea.

It's not illegal or against the rules for an under 18 to play an 18 rated game,it's just illegal for an under 18 to buy them or for someone to buy an 18 game for an under 18 & shops to sell them to an under 18.

At the end of the day it's down to the parents wether a child can play these games or not,personally I will never let my nephew play an 18 rated game until he's old enough.

If you sign in on you accounts
Xbox 360 game history are you able to locate those titles?

If you are not this would mean that your account did not redeem the games via Games with Gold and you would need to use Game Pass or purchase the titles to have access.

If you are able to locate the titles let's have you
remove your account from the Xbox One console, power down and unplug it for about 5 mins, then power back on and sign in.

Post back and let us know how that goes!

I did what you recommended. It did not fix the issue. The games I cannot play on my xbox one backwards compatibility (for xbox 360) that I believe I got when free are Gears of War Judgement, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. I would
have never downloaded these unless they were free. However, that is less of the issue. Sunset Overdrive is a game I distinctly remember downloading when available through games with gold. Brothers: a Tale of Two sons as well. Both of these are
unplayable now without the Xbox game pass. The reason I consider the game pass to blame, is because I have several other games with gold games that I can play. The games I can still play aren't available through the game pass: example being Earthlock: Festival
of Magic.
