Can't pick a Province when adding a credit card to sign up for XBL trial

Hi - I'm trying to sign up for a free month of Xbox Live. The option is available on the Xbox site, but when I go to add a credit card, the "State/Province" option only lists states in the US, despite the fact that I live in Canada and have a Canadian account
(I checked online and on the console, it's set to Canada).

I'd like to sign up for the trial, but I can't thanks to this problem - has anyone had a solution? I tried loading the site in Edge, but no luck there either - same issue.

Trying to sign up for live gold free month

Hi I am trying to sign up for the live gold 1 month trial, when I get to the add credit card step I fill out my details but it prompts for a state/province. I do not live in the US, is this offer for US residents only?

When i create my xbox live account, am i eligible to receive my free 1 month trial after adding a credit card to my new account?

 

Well, it turns out that despite my account being set to Canadian, the Microsoft site itself was defaulting to the US - in the bottom left I had to manually select Canada and it worked properly.

That's ridiculous, but at least I found a fix.

Sign in the account to
https://account.microsoft.com/, select Payment & Billing, select Payment options. Make sure that the region of the page is set to the current region you are currently located. Proceed adding the payment instrument you preferred.
