Can’t pay overdue balance

Hi all,

After months of dealing with microsoft support (who havent fixed my problem), i thought id post my issue here.

My xbox gold subscription was on auto renew, but the credit card that was on my account had to be canceled due to fraud. Therefore, once it came time to renew my subscription, it couldnt since the card on my account was inactive. Now i have this “overdue
balance” on my account. If i try to add a new card to pay the overdue balance, i get an error message along the lines of “something went wrong our end. Try again later”. Paypal will not work either - it will simply bring me back to the menu screen after i
submit my information, but nothing will go through.

I’ve tried different browsers, 3 different credit cards/banks, different paypal accounts, and different computers. “Kevin” from microsoft support tells me to contact my bank, but thats clearly not the issue. Ive requested to speak with someone in the states
who might understand what im actually saying, but i have gotten nothing. This has been going on for months.

Ive had my account for over 10 years - ive never run into something like this before. Makes me want to chunk the xbox and get a playstation. Does anyone happen to know what i should do at this point?

i have same problem n i also tried with redeem code or gifts but its not fixing.

I honestly don't know why you're having so much trouble with this, but I'm sorry to hear it. It sounds like you've tried almost everything. One thing I might recommend, just because it's different from what it sounds like you've tried, is to buy a Xbox
Live gift card and see if you could use that instead of a credit card. I hope you get it all sorted out. Good luck.

Contact support again. That's the first I've ever heard of them not fixing it in that situation. Usually they can help add a new account.

Only advice I could give is don't give up on support, they usually do such a great job, not sure what is happening now. After you get this resolved I would definitely just use prepaid Gold membership cards so that you won't run into the auto-renew problem.
You could also use Microsoft prepaid gift cards to pay for all your purchases. Sorry you are having difficulty, which still surprises based on support track record and my own personal dealings with them, but I hope you are able to get this resolved.
