Cant pay for Gold membership with my Microsoft account money :(

Went to EB today as my Gold has run out, cant afford the normal 12 months sub so I bought Microsoft $$ for my acc thinking I would just get a month of gold for now and have some left over to buy some downloads. Get home only to find I cant use my microsoft acc
to pay for gold....WHAT !!!!! Gamer here suffering Titanfall withdrawals !!!

It would be good to see them change this in the future, but for now it looks like I am out of luck.

Buying Gold with Microsoft Account funds HELP!

I am wanting to renew my GOLD LIVE subscription, i have £45 in my Microsoft Account, but it will not let me pay for my subscription using this money!

Is there a way to pay for LIVE using the funds in my MS wallet?

Can I buy an Xbox Live Gold membership with the currency in my Microsoft account?

I had to call Microsoft support to find out that you cant use money in the account to purchase Live Gold subscription. There is no warning, announcement, or accountability to prevent people from paying money on the Microsoft account in order to get a Gold
subscription. This is UNACCPETABLE. I cant get a refund, I cant get Gold, I just got ripped off like others have in the past! This needs to be fixed with a warning, or allow Gold to be bought in this way.
