Can't pay for Backward Compatible games with Xbox "currency"??!

I bought a $100 XBOX live currency card and applied it to my account. I then tried to buy a Backwards compatible game and was not able to but the game using my console or pc. I contacted customer support and after first telling me I could purchase it via
both mediums he then realized that I couldn't use my $100 credit at all to buy any of these games. It's the sole reason why I bought the card. He said I would get an email in the future when MSoft makes the update. When will that be exactly? Next June?
In the meantime Xbox is holding $100 and never bothered to explain the simple process of how to buy the game. After speaking for over an hour he offered no resolution at all. He simply said sorry, I cant help you. We'll email you whenever we make that update,
and dont worry, your $100 wont expire.

Great, now I get to wait till next year to buy a game I already gave you $100 for? These games will be another year older by then. As a 7 year member I'm simply taken aback by how easily a situation that seems fraudulent is just swept under the rug. Enjoy
the $100 donation Msoft. It's quite a wonder how a $100 Billion company refuses to figure out a way to get a $20 game on my console, but has no issue keeping my $100. Brand loyalty in this case wasn't rewarded, but instead preyed upon.

Imagine if the original release was backwards compatible with the One... People wouldn't have to pay twice for a game!

You can buy backward compatible games on the Xbox One, you just have to pay for them via Credit Card or PayPal. You just can't use account credit from your Microsoft Account for 360 games, unless you still have a Xbox 360 around.

 

Were you trying to buy via an Xbox 360 at all? I have some credit I believe. I'll look and see if I can somehow. What game are you trying to buy?

No I don't want to buy a 360. That wouldn't be ideal at all. I just want the backwards compatible game on my Xbox one

 

Well currency cannot be used on the 360 webstore

You cannot buy a 360 game except for repackaged games specially for the xbox one like rare replay

You can only use currency on the one webstore

As stated by major Nelson you can omay uss the website or a 360 console or prepaid game codes

 

You can used the 100 dollars for xbox one games you know or visit a friend and make the purchase with his console but your peofile

Just remember to delete your account off the console after

 

u can buy the game on a 360 linked to your acct and when u next sign in to your Xbone the game will show up in "ready to install". the site wont allow it

 

its THIS reason i never sold my 360. i new there might be some issues that can only be bypassed by using the 360 marketplace

 

You cant even use the $100 credit on the webstore! I understand not being able to use it on the Xbox one console, but not on the webstore either?!!
