    Can't order XBOX power supply unit in India


    Hi,

    I got a new XBOX 360 E from USA through one of my friends with the assumption that just using the right power adopter will make it work in India. Then today I registered the product in my son's name and since morning I am trying to order the power supply
    unit which costs INR 2330.00. I enter my card details and after hitting the Next button it results in an error with error number 1102. I have been calling/chatting with the customer care executives and nothing helped. I have wasted a lot of time today in just
    trying to order the power supply unit compatible/usable in India which cost Rs 2330.00. I am really very frustrated as I dont get proper directions on how to go about resolving this issue and complete the order. The global customer care executive at 0008004401179
    tells me to send it back to the country where it was purchased and get it resolved, they tell me to get in touch with the customer care of the country (USA) but dont share the number. None of the people whom I contacted today were able to give a number for
    India customer care :-(

    I think I made a mistake by purchasing XBOX from USA, Microsoft is successful at its strategy of forcing people to buy the XBOX from their respective country instead of USA. I am so frustrated at my mistake that I am feeling to just throw this new XBOX away,
    but it costs me money. Hence I am sincerely willing to hear from people who can help me resolve this issue. Thanks in advance to all.

    The number you have posted is the correct number for India. If you would like to try support in the US you can dial 1-800-469-9269.

    If you want to use the power brick that came with your Xbox One in India, you will need a step down transformer/converter. This is because the power brick is only designed to support 100-127v, which is lower than the 220-240v standard in India.

    I finally tried my friend's XBOX One Power Supply Unit with my console and it works just fine.. No more shut downs, so the issue was with my power supply unit.

    Now comes the most irritating part.

    I called the XBOX One India Support and explained to them the whole issue..after few irritating minutes of useless troubleshooting which the agent was doing..he accepted that the problem is with the Power Supply and puts me on hold..then gets back to me
    and tells me that the Power Supply Unit is out of stock and they cannot send a replacement unit..

    Im now trying to find a vendor who can sell me the power supply unit as I do not believe that Microsoft will have it available anytime soon and I do not want to use my XBOX One as a Paper weight till then..

    Seriously Microsoft don't you guys know that Power Supply Units, Controllers and other such common accessories are mostly the ones that need replacement shouldn't you have these over stocked in a country where the XBOX One Sales are so high???

    According to one news channel it said that on the day one there were 200 units were delivered by Amazon.in to MUMBAI Alone..let aside the other big cities in India.

    When you purchase a console in the United States you need to worry about a couple of times.

    First, there is a different power supply used in India than there is in the United States. You will need to purchase a specific power supply for India by contacting Xbox Support in India.

    Second, the ability to download games on Xbox LIVE and purchase Microsoft Points all depends on where your account is registered. You would need to make an account that's valid in India and then you will be able to buy and download available games on the Indian
    marketplace for Xbox LIVE.

    And finally, third, your inability to purchase physical game discs in India because India has PAL games (Made for Europe). You would need to out of your way to get physical disc copies of games in NTSC (North American) version, as those are the only ones that
    will work with your console.

    You won't be able to use the MyService.Xbox website to purchase a power supply if your console is not actually from that country. You'd need to contact Xbox Support in the country you're moving to, in this case India in order to order a new power supply for
    that country.
