    Can’t open settings


    After doing a power cycle/hard reset, my Xbox dashboard doesn’t respond to my controller(which is brand new). I tried to clear my local cache but it won’t let me open settings, even though I hear the Xbox register me pressing A. Help!

    I should’ve worded it better. Controller is brand new it works fine, i meant that the xbox one isnt opening apps, specifically settings when i press A

    Hello! I couldn't understand it directly, the problem is just that your control is not working? After clearing the cache and resetting, did you try to synchronize the control again?

    You need set your xbox one in Safe mode menu you can find it here

    Since you having problem with Sofware of xbox, The only way to fix it through safe mode menu and from there you can find the problem an much more. Id suggest reinstall lastest update from xbox website and try agian.

    If this does not work you might need contact xbox support and create service repair case.
