Can't open new xbox experience menu while playing games

Yesterday I was trying to start a party while playing a game and it wouldn't allow me to do so. I tried pushing the xbox button two times to see if it will open but it didn't. I tried every I could do but it didn't work. And also i have to turn off my console
and turn it back on to access the menu. I believe this is a bug in the new xbox experience update.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One

Had this game for a while, but went on it today to test out the new xbox x enhancements and I got message saying thank you for purchasing the 20th anniversary package, any one else get this recently.
Its opened up Manor house on the main menu and given me two new levels to play. Strange

Xbox preview new experience blah blah

Hi I'm not sure if this is the right forum or what ever that I'm suppose to post this but my question for those who have the new experience thing dunno what to call it, that question is

can any one else snap the tv app while playing your games, I can't find it on the snap menu once I've got something running to snap the app

if I'm not doing it right or what ever advice people have let me know, it was one of my most favourite things about the Xbox an that was watching tv while I zoned out on a game...

Hey mate,

Sounds like your console just needs a hard boot, which should fix the issue

With the console on, and at the dashboard, hold the power button on the front of the console down for 10seconds until the console switches off. Wait a minute or two, then switch it back on and try again.

I've managed to play 15 games in a row with out freezing, Some people recommend opening up the xbox menu while the map is loading.

Hey there bud!

Okay, let's try and get this resolved for you! First of all, could you perform a Xbox LIVE Connection test (to do so follow these steps):

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings and then select
System Settings.
Select Network Settings.
Select Wired Connection (if you’re prompted to do so).
Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Once you have done that, it is likely an error will appear, of which if it does simply view the

Connection Error support page where specified solutions are there for your issue. Now that you have done that, please perform a
Network Speed Test and post the results just so we can compare the speed of your network to the minimum requirements for Xbox LIVE to run efficiently.

Can you please format the flash drive and not move anything from the hard drive over instead please configure the flash drive and just download your profile onto it and play a game. Please make sure the hard drive is unplugged when doing this otherwise it'd
be useless to test this way.

That's why it was suggested that you try an alternative storage device like a flash drive. It's likely that it's the hard drive and not your profile.
