  1. Can't Open My NAT. Tried Pretty Much Everything.

So I followed the Help page on the Xbox website to open my NAT on my Xbox One, but nothing seems to work.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? US. Ohio

    Modem brand & model number:
    Ubee: DVW3201B

    Router brand & model number:

Wired or wireless (for each console): Xbox One is wired, 360 is wireless

Things you have tried: Manually changing my XB1's IP, as well as turn UPnP off then back on. Also tried Port Forwarding (all the ports are right and still active)

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Yes

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? No

Any Error Codes you encounter: No

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): Time Warner

I really don't want to turn DMZ on and the Ubee port forwarding page doesn't allow me to us the IP of my Xbox One like the Belkin does. Whenever I use my 360 and change the ports to that specific IP it works and opens the NAT, so it's weird that my XB1 won't
open when I do the exact same thing.

    Any help is really appreciated.

    :)

    XBOX Live Disconnection Problems!!!

Hi ROZILLA yes my NAT is open and I've tried a direct modem connection thanks.

I have a PS3 and it works flawlessly (listening Microsoft???), I'm with Virgin Media and have a Virgin Media Superhub which is in modem only mode.

I'll speak to my ISP and post back here the results, I've tried pretty much everything I can my end.

  3. New halo 5 controller not working with two different headsets

I've tried everything, I tried assigning my profile to the controller about 5 times, I tried changing my nat from moderate to open but I can't get it to change, I unplugged my xbox, took the battery out of controller and tried different ones. Can't think
    of anything else

    Hi there.

Well first you need to know, that it is not possible to forward ports to more than one device at a time.

So if you forward the ports to the 360, they are no longer available to the One, even if needed by it. Also it is only possible to have one device configured in DMZ.

So one of the most common practices when using more than one console is to delete all portforwardings and only use upnp. The other common solution is to set the used console as DMZ host.

If you want to use portforwarding, please be aware that the One needs some more ports than the 360 requires. Also it is then necessary to change the target ip of the portforwarding every time you switch between both consoles.

  5. I know it's not possible to port forward for two consoles. I said that when I SWITCH to my 360 and change the ports it works and opens the NAT, but when I switch the ports back to the XB1's IP it's still strict (I'm curious as to why doing it on the 360
works but doesn't on the XB1)

I also know that the XB1 uses 7 ports to the 360s 4.

Hi, I also tried port forwarding and dmz to no avail. I tried restoring to factory defaults. While I did have to redownload everything, the Xbox worked properly again. Hope this helps!

May you perform a multiplayer connection test please? In the result screen please hold LT, LB, RT and RB simultaneously to start the detailed connection test. Wait for the detailed NAT status and post back the results here.

It says "Your network is behind a port preserving port symmetric NAT". That's with the ports on AND off.

Sounds like you may be kind of double natted. The error message talks of the ports being in use by another device.

Did I get it right that you can't move the one into the DMZ as the router does not offer the ip of the one there?

Is the ip of the one given manually or is it provided by the router via DHCP?

  10. The modem is the one that won't allow anything because it's 192.168.0._ and the IPs for the XB1 are 2._ . I haven't tried to use DMZ with my XB1 yet.

  12. That won't be for awhile now because my network settings section won't leave the "detailed network settings" screen. Even after I quit the app and turn off the XB1, so I can't get the IP
