Can't open apps or games

Everything my xbox one gets an update, it essentially stops working. I have to restart and unplug it until the update finishes downloading. It just keeps getting error codes upon error codes. I finally finished downloading the last update, but I can't open anything but settings. It just gives me the error code 0x800701c4 which I can't find a single thing about on the internet or error page. I discovered upon unistalling and re-downloading games and apps then they begin to work again. Problem is I can't uninstall the Microsoft store. So how do I get it to work. Trying to avoid doing a system reset because it is such an ordeal and I have done it 6 times since I got my console 2 years ago. Quite ridiculous if you ask me. My joysticks on my controller stopped working right after the 1 year warranty ended. Don't want to buy a new xbox either because my bad experiences with this one.

If it still persists, you may reset the Windows Store Cache. Kindly perform the following steps:

1. Press the Win+R keys to open the Run dialog box.

2. Type WSReset.exe and click OK.

3. The Windows Store and a command prompt will now open without any message. The command prompt will automatically close after the Store's cache has been reset.

Also, make sure to
check for updates for apps and games for Windows Store and the
status of Xbox Live for any service alerts.

Click Sign-in Options
Scroll down to Privacy
Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."
Restart your PC
