Cant move xbox games to external hard drive

I am trying to move my husband's games back to external hard drive after I made a mistake. I had not known about the exernal drive when I turned it on and seen that he had no apps on his xbox one, we had just did the update and thought that had something
to do with it. And I started to redownload everything, just to find out the external had came loose. I have canceled all pending downloads and am trying to move what has already downloaded to the external. Why will it not let me? I can not lose all the saved
    data!

    :)

  2. External Hard Drive

So, I recently purchased an external hard drive for my Xbox and moved 1 game just to test. How do I move the game from the external hard drive back to the Xbox so I don’t have to carry the external hard drive with me everywhere I go?

  4. Cant move xbox games to external hard drive

    Hey there NICOMAS LOVE,

Save Games are stored in the cloud as well as locally. Locally they're stored on the internal Xbox One hard drive, so you don't need to worry about those being mistakenly removed as they will be re-synced from the cloud the next time the game is played.
To copy your games over to the external hard drive, you'll want to open up My Games & apps and highlight the game you wish to move. Then press the menu button on the controller and the option to move or copy will appear for you.

    Hope that helps!

Is this game stored on your Internal Storage or External hard drive? If it's on your External Hard drive kindly move it to your Internal Storage then remove the hard drive. This is to check if it's due to the external hard drive.

Xbox one external hard drive games audio crash

    Hello Vash,

Thank you for keeping us updated. There are some instances in which games on an external hard drive do not receive updates. We recommend moving around some of the games on the internal and external hard drives. Since your internal hard drive is full, you
can move some of them to the external hard drive. Once the internal hard drive has some extra space, we suggest moving some of the games from the external hard drive to the internal. Check to see if those games require any updates. Be sure to let us know the
    results!
