    Can't move stuff from internal to external drive (or vice versa) anymore


    everything else is working fine. all content still present on both drives and everything plays. the option to move things back and forth (or to view contents just on the internal or external drives) no longer exists. what happened?

    tried different USB port - nothing

    tried hard reset - nothing

    My game won’t load

    for some reason my gam will not load, my disk has no scratches, no marks on it, no nothing. I’ve tried moving my game from internal hard drive to external and vice versa. I’ve tried restarting my Xbox but still no load. Please help, Microsoft

    games won't finish installing or updating?

    i had this issue as well. installs would get to 99% and stop. Mine also would not pause that download and start another either. Another problem was I could not move anything installed internally to my external drive or vice versa or uninstall anything.

    Is the game installed on the internal hard drive or an external USB drive?

    If it's on an external drive, try to move the game to the internal drive and vice versa (if you have an USB3 compliant USB hard drive available).

    Does that improve the situation?

    Please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds to see if that helps. If you have the game installed on an external hard drive you could also try moving it to the internal (or vice versa if need be)

    This happened to me, I had to manually go in and transfer the DLCs from the external to the internal, for some reason the game wont register all of the add ons and the game wont work if some of them are on the external hard drive and vice versa.

    Sorry to hear it. Please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds to see if that helps.

    If you have an external hard drive attached you could try moving the game from external to internal or vice versa if need be.

    A final attempt would be to try a factory reset on the console either with keeping installed games and apps or without.
