Can't make any purchases

Hey, for the last few days I can't purchase anything from the dash board or from a game its self..it keeps saying its unable to get authorisation etc and the code is 80167611.

So far I have deleated the card info and readded it, I have added a verified PayPal account but still have this problem...I have checked the billing info and its OK so I don't know what to do...any help would be good...I

Can't make purchases

Hey, im having a problem making purchases online due to every time i try im introduced to either a looped loading screen, we can't sign you in right please try again later or it simply sends me back to the dash board. now im aware of the outstanding balance
thing and knew ive obtained one but due to me not being able to pay for it here on console i just bought a 3 month gold subscription and continue that way. now i don't know that if by doing it this way whether or not if i messed something up or if i should
discontinue services and focus on my balance. this has been occurring for a few days now and ive yet to see improvement.

I think is because is a debit card. For all backward games you need a credit card not a debit card.

Hey there, Rye! I'm very sorry to see any purchasing issues you may be having! That code you've given indicates to me that there may be an issue with your card; sometimes there is inefficient funds or the bank is blocking it because it is an online purchase.

I would suggest reaching out to the issuing bank to see if they are seeing the purchases being attempted on their side, but they are blocked. If everything is going good there, I suggest adding another card or PayPal to your account to see if you can make
the purchases through that.

If you are still receiving errors like this even after all this, please post back so that we may look into it further! I do hope this helps you and we've got you covered, though!

Hey, I have added pay pal and its the same problem..my bank card is working on other sites and my bank said there was no problems with it yesterday...I have bought loads of things off the dashboard with this card before, I even bought a game with it last
week mate.

I also can't connect to any ea servers which is strange..

I just checked out the Xbox live status for my area on Xbox.com and it says there is limited content and purchase usage for the Xbox 1 but I am on the 360....any idea how long this will take as its been a few days now

how can i start a new discussion?

My problem is i buy some points and they change it last year in Euro´s and say in the middle of 2015 i lost this money if i don´t buy something until this.

What can i do when i have no change to go online with my 360?

The same thing happend to me. I couldnt purchase a thing this week, and everything is ok with my card, bank, funds, adress and it keeps saying theres an error. And the worst thing is that there's no info about whats going on just xbox.com showing there are
limitations all week long on xbox one when clearly xbox 360 is also affected. Can someone tells us what is happening and how long will the problems on xbox continue?

I appreciate you checking with your bank for me, rye, and double checking another payment option. One last thing I would like to you try for me is deleting your payment option by following these steps exactly:

Go to commerce.microsoft.com and sign in using your Microsoft account email address and password.

Verify your billing information. For example, verify that:

Your payment option is valid and has been activated.

Your billing information is the same billing information used by your bank or credit card company.

There is no outstanding balance.

Remove the payment option from your account.

Delete the Marketplace System Data file on your Xbox 360 console. Here's how:

On your console, go to settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Select your primary storage device.

Select System Items.

Select Marketplace System Data.

Select Delete.

Restart your console.

Go to commerce.microsoft.com and add the payment option to your account.

Please let me know how that goes for you! If it's still not working for you, we will look at what other options we have.

I would recommend reaching out to MS Billing Support. It is likely the wrong address on file for something, but they should be able to tell you for sure and more importantly how to correct the problem

Here are the troubleshooting steps to perform which will help in making your purchase successful:

Since completing the order on the console is not working, let's complete the purchase on PC this time.

Please set your PC region to the same region of your account in order for both regions to align and allow you to complete a purchase online.

Select Start > Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.

Under Country or region, select your new region.

And then remove and then re-add the card back to your account in order for it to refresh.

Next is to double-check if the card has enough funds to complete the purchase.

It is also important to check payment method. Make sure that your payment method is correctly set up and matches your billing address.

If incase that after performing these steps the issue persist, kindly give it 24 hours before trying to complete your purchase again in order for all the failed attempts of purchase to refresh and should enable you to complete the next purchase on the account.
