Can't make an account. Can't redeem codes. Can't talk to customer support.

I've been trying to make an account for my Xbox 360 for the last hour. AFTER putting all my information in I got an error that ended the process, but apparently the account was made, because after going through the annoying process of re-entering all the
information it tells me there's already an account associated with my profile. I can't sign into it on my 360; it just keeps asking me to make an account when I try to sign in or redeem a code.

I signed into the Microsoft website using the account information, and tried to use live support to fix the 360 issue. It asked for my first and last name (which are on my account) but the boxes are grayed out and I can't put anything in them, so I can't
chat with support.

It also gave me some weird gamertag, and the account history said it was changed from something else 20 minutes ago. I was worried for a moment that the newly-created account had been hacked, but it's happened with both accounts I've tried to create and
I assume it's just some kind of placeholder?

Anyway, I can't redeem my code on the website either. It recognises the game but says there's a problem when I try to redeem it. Nothing helpful; it just says "something went wrong".

This is a complete mess and it's ridiculous that I can't even contact support about it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Can't redeem code

My Xbox Live subscription is ended, my payment method was visa but the card doesn't exist anymore (it was renewed automatically). Now when I want to pay the debt that is open on my account I get an error message something went wrong when I redeem my code.
What actions do I have to take to make sure my subscription will be active again?

Can't redeem code

I puchased Gears of War 4 on 26th Dec and on the 4th of January I received the 4 free codes of the previous games for xbox 360 but will work on xbox one because of backwards compatibility.

I have redeemed them but the code for gears of war 3 does not work. When I try to redeem it on my xbox I get an error telling me that my chosen language is not good and I need to choose another one which makes no sense as I bought Gears of War 4 from the
UK Store and my chosen language and region is English and UK and when I try to redeem it on the xbox website I get this error code;

XBOS-3012

I still don't know why the gamertag and the account didn't link, but after messing around with support for a while I just used the "download account" option and put in the details for the account that it *did* create. That worked.

I still couldn't redeem my code, but that was a regional issue.

So if anyone else has this issue, just go to the website, verify your account, then use "download account" from your Xbox Guide menu.
