cant make a clip anymore

when i double tap the guide button it doesn't give me the option to make a clip anymore. am i doing something wrong?

ERROR CODE, suspected stealth tactic to monitor xbox clips

Originally I made a clip to show to my friends, it had some swearing involved and I sent it to one of my friends that I don't speak to often in a message, he reported it and my clip was gone, I then got an error code after trying to make anymore clips. I
went on my other account and I was abble to make clips without any problems, in my mind proving my suspicion. My youtube channel was connected to my account. so I disconnected it and reconnected it to the xbox account that could still make clips, after that
both accounts were unable to make clips, "I remind you my second account was abble to make and upload clips months after my first account could not" after that I made this account today to attempt to make a clip and could not leading me to believe my xbox
itself is now not authorized to make clips or recording at all. I insist that this is deliberate because every time I would work around the things the clip errors a new one would pop up after I was abble to make a clip, like a cause and effect reaction.

 

Cant upload clip

I remember, not too long after the game came out, i uploaded a 20 some odd secong clip to facebook, (was playing vs a friend and smashed on him, uploaded it to rub it in) now, for some reason, i dont have that option anymore, i see it in the menu, but its
dark, not white like end film and whatnot. Suggestions?

 

Try saying, "Xbox record that".

 

If you don't have Kinect don't you hit the back button or something?

 

@lostkauz i don't have the kinect anymore got rid of it a long time ago. from what i remember you just hit the guide button twice it would bring up a sub-menu to switch between your snapped screen and main screen. when you would bring it up it would also
say "press X to record clip" now its not there at all

 

Does nothing happen when you press X?

 

anybody? anything? Bueller?

idk, try a hard reset...seems like that fixes quite a few problems.
