Can't Login to Xbox Live playing backwards compatible?

Hello,

I just decided to randomly try and play some Modern Warfare 3 but when I went to click on the game to launch it up it wouldn't let me log in to my account. It says "A problem occurred while signing in" when i click "Ok", it asks me to download my profile
and it is a never ending loop until it actually works.

Does anybody know how to get through this problem?

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand you are having issues logging into the Xbox 360 profile for backwards compatible games on the Xbox one. I recommend to try the following troubleshooting article to remove and re-add your profile on
the console: How to add or remove a Microsoft account on Xbox One.

Try this out and let us know the results.

Hi, I also have the same issue. Hard resetting and removing/re adding the account didn't solve it.

It says the profile can't connect to Xbox Live on this console, despite being on the game pass ultimate.

some BC games will either do that or say that the service no longer works for the game... you may have to look up if that game is still supported on Xbox Live for playing multiplayer.... but in the meantime, check your NAT type and make sure it is open,
then try signing out of live and signing back in and see what happens.

If i got a Xbox 360 game from live with gold, it's will be only a backward compatible? I can't play on Xbox 360?
