Can't login to tumblr from ie

I haven't been able to login to tumblr from my 360 for a week now. It just keeps saying I can't connect to the internet, but this is the only site that has this problem.



Is there any way to fix this?

For a few months now, every time I try to go to the log in/sign up pages on Tumblr, all I get is a message that IE "can't connect to the webpage". Anyone know what to do?

I am having the exact same problem. Does anyone have a fix??

 

I'm also having this problem. I've tried restarting the router, but other sites appear to work through the app.

I've noticed from other users that this also happens on Twitter.

Errors seem to be related

 

Tumblr was working fine until January. Everytime I go to the site says that the web page can't be displayed. you can still get into the site by going to other blogs you look up in google, but if you try to sign in or just typing "tumblr.com" page won't
work.



Conclusion: Site works but the intro (sign in page) does NOT work. Can still look at blogs just can't be in dashboard because of the broken sign in page.



Typed all this with the 360 controller so I hope typing all of this was helpful.

 

I think I have the awnser! Tumblr started to drop IE from its browser allowed listing, telling the users to download Chrome or Firefox instead. Since the Xbox uses IE, it was obviously gone. I doubt Microsoft would get the other two so we are sadly without
it.

 

appreciate the answer, but makes smartglass useless if you can't browse something like tumblr

And it can't be IE blocking because tumblr works fine on my Surface RT browser.

Probably some stupid restriction cause people use tumblr for porn.

IE on SurfaceRT is using the most up to date versions of IE, which are supported fine by Tumblr and their security policies.

Xbox however isn't, probably due to a technical limitation, and thus tumblr has restricted access due to an outdated browser

 

According to the official post Tumblr Staff made a while back in January, (the last time Tumblr worked on an XBOX console), they said IE would no longer be supported on the OS Windows XP. It says nothing about Tumblr supposed to be shut off for XBOX and
official support commented that they are working to fix this. Patience is key; in the meantime if you want to blog on a TV screen, why not just use an HDMI cable to hook up your laptop directly to your TV?

 

The strange thing is about tumblr is that eventhough you can't login you can still look p a blog from google and when you go to the blog it works. Can view everything it has. If you try to sign in it can't display it for some reason
