cant log into xbox live

I cannot log into xbox live. I keep receiving error code 0x80a30204. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry you are having this issue. Please visit this page HERE, check to see if you have your security proofs up to date (alternative
e-mail, phone number etc). When you're logged in on top, do you see "Your account is protected by two-step verification."?

If you've recently set this up on your Microsoft Account then you'd need to generate an App Password. This can be done towards the bottom of that page linked above. Once you have the App Password, you'll want to use this password to login to the Xbox 360 and
download your profile on the Xbox 360.

okay, pulling the actual power cable seems to have resolved the issue

 

I'm getting this same issue. And while doing a hard reset of the console does fix it, I run into this problem every time I power the console off and turn it back on again. I'm getting sick and tired of having to power cycle my console after turning it
on every time. Is there a permanent way to fix this issue?

 

I got this error today and fixed it by removing power cable

I'm in the Xbox one preview program and I can see it downloaded an update earlier this morning

So I suspect it is a bug with the update

Having the same issue with the same set of parameters, Error 0x80a30204, unable to sign in. Standard TS listed in thread

forums.xbox.com/.../1791184.aspx

does not resolve.

Pulling power, and letting sit 30 second, re-inserting power resolves issue.

I am also part of the preview program.

 

I'm having the same issues and it just started today after the preview program update. I'm sure the team is working on a fix now, but in the meantime the hard reset mentioned above works.

 

Same here. Must be the insider update.

 

Hard reset worked for me. Was worried when the code wasn't recognised in the error code search field, but this thread helped. Cheers

 

I too just starts having this problem and I am a member of the preview program. The latest upload must have clashed with something. In another forum, here on XBox Live, I found a response saying:

1) Hold your power button for 5 seconds

2) Leave XBox One off for 30 seconds

3) Restart and problem should be resolved.

I did and, so far, so good. I assume it must have something to do with, or the cache getting corrupted AMD that likely clears it out. We shall see... Just thought I would pass this along here, on this string.

Has anyone ran into a issue before the whole sign in issue where it acts like your not connected to the internet but when you go to the settings it shows its all good? And after you turn off your system it goes to the " Try again it should work next time"
and you have to hard restart.
