Can’t log into Xbox account email addrsss is wrong can’t change it

Please try the steps below.

Follow the steps below to change the Microsoft account email address or phone number (also known as your account alias or username) that you use to sign in.

1. Sign in to your account using your existing alias and password.

2. Go to Your info at the top of the page.

3. Select Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.

4. You may be asked to verify your account before any changes can be made. Follow the instructions provided to select your alias:

Select Add email. You can create a new Outlook.com email address or add an address you already have. Then select Add alias. After returning to the previous screen, select Verify and follow the instructions provided.

Or, select Add phone number. Enter the phone number you want to use and select Next. When you add a new phone number, we'll send a text message to that number to verify it. Enter the code in the text message and select Next.

Did you just give me false information? Because I’ve tried that and XBOX live said they can’t do anything on the accounts. They can’t access the email, or change the email. They can’t do anything to give me access to the gamertag according to the person that called me. They said only Microsoft and outlook can do anything about it as the email can only be changed by logging into it which i can’t do because the email is locked…

But EA can’t help as any info I give them is wrong and the email associated with the ea account doesn’t exist so I can’t unlink my Xbox account from them

No. I am able to sign into my Xbox live account using the log in info. But the email itself has expired/been deleted a long time ago so I can’t log into the email itself. So when I want to access/change my account info and it asks me to log into my email and find the verification code, I am unable to do so. Again, I know all the info for the old expired email, I just can’t log into for the verification codes because it’s expired

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately no one here would be able to help with logging in to your java version of the game. You'd need to continue getting in touch with Mojang for more help.

In the meantime though please make sure your son is logged into the Windows Store, PC and Xbox Console Companion with the correct account. It's always best to have everything set the same

Mojang say that it is a Microsoft problem and they can’t help. He is trying to log in but the sign in screen won’t move past the incorrect Microsoft outlook email address, tried logging in as a different user but it just brings up the sign in screen with the wrong email again. His x-box account and Microsoft account are all the same and are fine, but just can’t sign in to minecraft. Will try deleting and reinstalling tomorrow. No idea what the boys have managed to do and he can’t remember.
