Can't log into my Xbox account on PC

Hi,
My problem is that I have reinstalled windows 10 on my PC to delete all the useless files that I have gathered through the years and after I did that I wanted to log in to my Xbox account. I used correct email address and Xbox told me to create new Xbox account for the same email. I somehow did that and now when I want to log in to my old Xbox account (using correct email and password) with games on it, the app is getting me to fresh and empty account. New account have different gamertag than the old one.
I was thinking if I can delete this new account so I would be able to log to my old account again.

Then, maybe the old one got replaced with the new account.

You don't need to buy again, just remember the email linked to that Gamertag

Can't be replaced, once there's a Xbox account on the email account, can't be created a new Xbox account with the same email
