Can't log in Xbox account on Windows 10

Issues signing in to your Xbox account on the Xbox app in Windows 10 can occur if the app is outdated. It can also be a possible issue with the permissions set for your account in accessing the apps installed on your computer.

you can't, a microsoft account IS the xbox account too, they are one in the same. you can remove some of the xbox stuff off windows 10 but it usually gets put back on when you update. don't forget windows is a service from microsoft now not a normal os so you accept this when you log into windows.

it will be even more integrated in windows 11.

Windows 10 games don't need to Xbox Live Gold to play online. Ont the other hand, Xbox Live Gold is needed to play online on Xbox.

However, you can't play with each other if you both use the same account, even one is on Windows 10, and the other on Xbox.
