    Can't log in to play Sea of Thieves


    Hi,

    When i want to play Sea of Thieves, the game ask me to log in. When i want to log in in the xBox app, I can't, the app says it needs to install "Xbox identity provider" to log me in. When i say it can install it, I have an installation who takes infinite
    time. So I will never be able to log in and play a game I bought.

    So my question is : How do we clean this mess and why can't I play a game I just bought ?

    Thanks to answer me quickly Microsoft, I'm kind of upset by this issues and I never had that kind of problem with Steam, Epic Games or Origin.

    Could you try launching the game from the start menu or MS store app instead of Xbox beta app please, and let us know if the issue still happens. Many thanks.

    The issues just fix itself, after a few reboots and a lot of hard tries. It's very odd how all of that works. You have Xbox, Xbox game bar, Xbox identity provider...

    Now i can play, let's hope i will not have to onstall some app during my game...

    Anyway, thanks a lot for your assistance and your quick answer.

    Xbox Insider hub problem with network try again.

    If you're trying to play the Xbox Insider version of Sea of Thieves, then be aware that this was the closed Beta before the game launched.

    Unless they added an Insider Version after I checked two days ago, you can't play that version, as the servers don't accept the Sea of Thieves Beta client anymore.

    You will have to buy the actual game, or have an active Game Pass subscription to be able to play Sea of Thieves.

    Shift F enabling Microphone Feedback in Xbox Game Bar or Xbox Beta App

    Maybe it's a Sea of Thieves setting as I haven't seen anything yet in Xbox Game Bar that uses SHIFT+F. Unfortunately I don't play Sea of Thieves on PC so I can't check that to confirm for you.
