cant log in to minecraft side launcher

Please be aware that we're not able to assist with issues occurring with unofficial third party launchers.

So, if you allow me, what I can recommend you is downloading the official Minecraft launcher from the Microsoft Store or Minecraft.net and test if you're able to log in to your Microsoft account.

In case you can use your account as usual on the official launcher, this means it's an issue with the unofficial launcher you're trying to use, and not your account.

However, if you have the same outcome after downloading the official Minecraft launcher, don't hesitate to let me know.

What happens if you click More choices? Have you tried any troubleshooting so far such as reinstalling the launcher?

No, that account is not signed in on my pc. And well since I am not really that tech-savvy I don't know much about computers.

Thanks for responding. When I click More Choices it redirects me to my browser and lets my choose other accounts but even if I select another account the change is not displayed in the launcher. And yes, I have cleared the data of the launcher and have even reinstalled it twice but nothing works.

I see, is the account that pops up on the launcher signed in on your PC?

Have you tried any other steps so far? I recommend checking for Windows Updates: Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
