    Can't link xbox and EA account


    Hi,

    When i try to attempt to download Fifa for example, the screen says "something went wrong, try again". I have seen tips such as uninstalling EA play and reinstalling, trying to install from the website instead, closing and reopening and all to no avail.

    When i go into my Xbox account settings it seems to say that i have a linked EA account however when i have signed into my 2 EA accounts it doesn't say either are linked? Is there a way to determine what account is linked and to unlink it especially if it doesn't belong to me?

    I have exactly the same problem. I don't even know what EA account has been linked to my Xbox account. I can't even tell you if it's mine. I've been gaming online since the 90s and I suspect at some point EA have acquired a game title for which I have an account and it's been linked to my Xbox account.

    EA tell me the account is "deleted" but won't remove the Xbox link. It's a ridiculous situation and I can't link Xbox to my real EA account while the current link exists. The link between Xbox and EA should be a 2-way agreement where it can be severed from either side. I've been on to EA reps for 5 hours. They really are awful.

    As it stands I can't ever play EA games through Game Pass and I'm cancelling my membership until there is a better solution in place.

    I want to link my Xbox to my EA account.

    I'm afraid that if EA support can't do anything then it might be time to create a new EA account and link the Xbox account to it.

    I have now tried this and EA have notified that the account it was linked to was deleted and i need to restore it, i have never deleted an account in my life. I only have 1 email and it has an active EA account.

    Anything Xbox can do or do i have do cancel my account?

    If your account is linked to an EA account that you do not have access to, you will need to talk to EA to unlink the account. No linking or unlinking process is done on the Xbox side.

    I'm pretty sure the problem is on the xbox side. Only xbox says that the account is linked not EA? Also i cant link it because when i attempt to log in with xbox it asks to reset my password which ive done 10 times..
