Can't link with Epic Games

I’m sorry to hear you already have an Epic account linked to your Microsoft account.

Not only that, but it is important to point out that it is not possible to unlink an Epic account from your Microsoft account, the process always needs to be done in the Epic linked accounts management site.

If you’re not able to do this, you may want to contact Epic Games support and review the options you may have.

I understand I can't link another xbox account to the Epic Games account. I don't wish to use the account it's currently linked to. I have another account.

I'm getting back in touch with Epic Games Support again.

This seems to be a problem on the epic website, not related to xbox. Try contacting epic games support: https://www.epicgames.com/site/customer-service

You can only ever link one Xbox account to an Epic account. Once linked, that Epic account is forever tied to the Xbox account. That means you can't link another Xbox account later on to that Epic account. It doesn't matter if they play on the same or different
physical consoles. It doesn't even matter if your kids play on the same account. You just can't link that Epic account to another Xbox account in the future.

If it's on the console you need to download Fortnite from the same account that purchased the items and is linked to Epic, otherwise it won't work.

If you play on PC, you have to use your Epic account directly through the Epic game launcher and download the game.

Note: You can't create a new Xbox account and link your old Epic account that has iten, an account can only be linked once to an Epic account.
