    Hi,

    my kid bought an xbox live gold card for 12 months. When i enter his profile and enter the card number, it recognizes it. however, when I confirm, it gives always the same error message which cannot be found in your database.

    The error code is XBOS-3013

    It is not the first time we have problems like this. Is it possible to have it fixed?

    Xbox Live not downloading new gold purchase

    I am having a similar problem. Purchased 12 Month Live Gold Subscription Prepaid Card, entered the code online, and both online and on the console our Live account shows us to be a 12 Month Gold Member, but it won't let my kids start or join a party. Says,
    "You must be an XBOX Live Gold Member to join a party." What????

    Hi there,

    Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
    http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
    http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

    After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

    Also check that the Xbox Live account, the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

    If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
    Contact Us | Xbox Support they can do a more indepth look into this issue.

    Side note: since these forums are open to all please do not post any personal information like email addresses etc.

    Xbox live 12 month cards were on sale recently, at least, they were at Best Buy. I picked one of them up when they were on sale for my niece, since she wanted live to play minecraft with her friends. Kids these days.
