Can't Launch Quantum Break.

So, I just got Quantum Break and I'm having an issue. I go to load up the game, and the intro screen comes up just fine, and then blackness and then nothing. Eventually, if I wait long enough, I just get sent back to Xbox home screen, with no error or
anything. This is the only game I'm having issues with as well, I've played a number of others just fine with no issues loading. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to fix this issue so that I can play this game?

sometimes it happens that the installation gets some corrupted files which results game issues.

Most of the time completely removing the game and installing again resolves the problem.

So, an update. I re-installed the game. The firs time I tried to run it, I had the same issue. The second time though it did load. So I started a new game and was immediately shocked at the performace, the intro video was incredibly choppy, to the point
that I got one image every 15-20 seconds I think. Then it went to a loading screen which was taking way too long, and then finally I got an error message "File IO failure: readFileFailed, error code 1117, filename unkown".

Sounds like a possible glitch with the game. I would advise to uninstall and reinstall the game as that should hopefully resolve it!

 

But I just did that, as I said in my post above.

 

Have you tried to reinstall the game? Chances are, that may resolve the issues of not running properly.

 

Ummmmm, again. First person to reply already suggested that and I replied with what happened after. Are you guys just trolling me now?

It seems you already did some basic troubleshooting to get this fixed. Have you taken a look at our Game Troubleshooting site by any
chance? There is always the option to perform a Factory Reset of course make sure to select the option that allows you to keep
your Games and Apps. Let us know what happens!

 

That's actually weird, the game is heavy, true but reinstalling should solve any corrupt files issues. I suggest you uninstall it, reset your console and then install it again.

 

Did you install from disk, or was this a digital download? Did you install an update at the same time as the initial game install? Did you install the episodes after the game?

I had troubles with this one originally. I installed from a disk, launched it, closed it out, then downloaded the updates, then downloaded the episodes. Installing from the disk and downloading the updates at the same time broke the install for me.

 

I digitally downloaded pubg and couldn't launch it. One of the experts told me to reinstall the game as it may be corrupt. I tried that and it still didn't work so I just asked for a refund now and hopefully they give me my monies back
