Can't launch or install anything Xbox (Windows)

Hi,

first of all yes, I tried the common suggestions like that one with deleting / installing gaming services via powershell or deleting some registry entries.

Nothing works.

It used to work fine for many months but now, without me doing anything, I just can't launch or install any game. There is also no error message.

Now what?

I see, I can advise you more things to try:

A. Do a clean boot in your PC (in case a third party app is interfering)

B. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

C. Create a new NTFS partition and check if the issue persist there
Once created go to windows settings > system > storage > advance storage options > where new content is saved > under apps select the recently created partition

D. Try uninstalling the most recent windows update, just in case it is the one that is causing conflicts

E. Run the SFC tool to find and repair possible system corruptions

Additional information is needed, please answer the following questions to assist you properly

Is this happening on Windoes 10 or 11?
Do you know if your system or any app received an update recently?
And, please tell me briefly what else did you tried (besides the troubleshooting steps provided in your post)

I got it back to work, but since I tried a ton of stuff, I'm not sure what did it. Maybe this, but it's a weird console command where it's a little unclear what it does, but this would be my bet on what fixed it for me:

Still, it's mindblowing how messed up xbox for windows is. Imagine Steam had such problems...

Win 11, no updates I started manually at least.

Also tried uninstalling xbox and reinstalling through the store.
