    Can't launch Minecraft Bedrock from Minecraft Launcher


    Hi, I have a Bedrock account that I can access fine from my iPad. When I try to access the same account through the Windows Minecraft Launcher, it asks me to purchase Bedrock again, even though I already own it. I tried reinstalling the Launcher but it didn't make a difference. I'm running Windows 11. Please help!

    I've bought "Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC" but I can't play Java Edition. I can only play Bedrock Edition

    At present I still can't play "minecraft java demo version". I can't launch "minecraft bedroch version". There appears notification that bedrock version is incompatible with launcher

    Hello Georgina, my name is Zahir.

    I would assume you are trying to download on a windows pc.

    You will have to install the minecraft launcher first.

    To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

    To play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, you will need a device running Windows 10 or 11 to download and install the newest version of the Launcher, within which you can launch and play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

    Both are Bedrock edition. Mine gets launched via the Minecraft launcher and hers is done via the Xbox.
