    Can't launch FIFA 16


    Hi, I recently bought (through the marketplace) a copy of FIFA 16 for my son. At the time, I was logged into my account - which is an Xbox Live Gold account. Now, however, when he tries to run the game using his profile (which is not Live Gold), he just
    gets a message saying "Can't launch FIFA 16". I even tried creating him an Xbox live account in the Family section of my account, but no dice.

    My guess is that the download is now tied to my account. Is this correct?

    Even more confusingly, the FIFA 16 Demo definitely works with any and all of his local profiles. It only seems to be the real FIFA 16 that is locked down.

    He has an old FIFA 15 disk which works perfectly with any profile... if I were to purchase the FIFA 16 physical disk, does that then mean he can go back to playing it under his profile again?

    Have I missed something here? Thanks.

    Black screen after start fifa 16

    HI. I have a problem with the launch fifa 16 on the xbox one. When I'm trying to run the fifa 16(digital ver)) after five seconds the black screen pops up, the same promlem is a fifa 15(cd ver.) the rest of the games like: the wither 3 or forza 5 workig
    properly. Please help me to solve this problem.

    I'm trying to play Fifa 16, however when I try and launch the game it reads 'something went wrong' every time! Whats going on?!?!?!

    Me too.

    Purchased for both of my sons to play using my Xbox account, but now only works on my account, although it appears in both of their "My Games" lists. Nobody seriously expects me to purchase a separate copy for each profile do they?

    I am having exactly the same problem. I bought fifa 16 on my dad's account because it already had all the credit card information. I expected to be able to play it on my account and my brother on his account because we had done this before with Driver: San
    Fransisco and a few other games - all of which worked fine. This leads me to suspect that it's either something to do with Fifa 16 itself, or xbox have changed the way games are shared through accounts.

    I already license transferred fifa 16 using my dad's account to a friend who wanted it and was willing to split the cost. He is having the same problem.

    Please please help, someone. It is infuriating.

    This works but it's not ideal. Requires multiple controllers. With controller 1 sign in with the profile that purchased the game, keep this profile signed in. Start the second controller and sign in to the profile you wish to play the game from (via the
    guide button). Find the game and it should load.

    I've done that already. It works, but it means my friend has to sign into my dad's account every time he wants to play fifa. Thank's though.

    Error code 0x80040153 :(

    We are having the same problem with FIFA 16 and got the same error code...can't find any fix for it yet.

    Was this game downloaded during the free EA access week during E3 ? If so then that was a timed offer which has expired so the license has since then been revoked.

    Hey MED456!

    Sorry to hear FIFA 16 is having trouble launching, let's get that sorted! Let's go through these steps first:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the Xbox One fully powers down. This will clear the system cache.
    • Power back on and try to launch the game.
    If the issue continues, follow these next steps:

    • Uninstall FIFA 16
    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console again until the console powers down.
    • Power back on and reinstall FIFA 16.
    Try those steps out and let us know how it goes!

    You have to be either over 13 or 16 years old to play FIFA online, as far as I am aware. Can't remember exactly which one though, it might have changed from previous versions of FIFA
