Can't launch any games on console storage or external storage

I'm afraid to fix this issue you'll need to perform a factory reset keeping games and apps.

Jesse I need help. I sent my Xbox into Microsoft because they thought the reason none of the games would load was because of the Xbox one. I just received it back and went through all the steps to set it up again. I went to the library and it just spins and won’t show any games. I went to the store and I can see ones I purchased but when I click on them it just spins. Nothing will come up. Any ideas what is wrong?

Since you have already preformed the hard rest, I would suggest some other some other solutions that can help fix this issue. Please preform them one by one and let us know the results!

Clear Mac address: Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart.

Clear the local saved games :Settings -> System -> Clear local saved games -> restart

Power Cycle your console:

1. Turn off your Xbox by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
   
2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.
   If the issue persists after that, unfortunately you will need to preform a Soft Factory reset by selecting keep my games and apps.
   

Reset your console: Select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

None of those helped. It can't even get far enough to try and detect the external storage because within 5 seconds of plugging the hard drive in, the console crashes.

seriously what makes people think games are suddenly going to be 20 gigs on disc? has no one heard of compression tools?
