Can't launch an older game that has become backwards compatible

You can contact Xbox via this link: Purchase History

Go to the bottom of the page and choose the "Contact Us" link. From there you can live chat with a representative who can verify you owned the license for that game and from there assist you in reacquiring it.

Please let us know if this helps, I know it's frustrating. I had to do this exact same thing for Red Dead on my console.

I would suggest setting up a call back from an Xbox Live support agent by following the steps below. The agent would be able to look into your account and confirm that your account indeed does own the license to the game which would allow you to enjoy
it's backwards compatibility.

Step 1 ----Select Xbox One

Step 2 ----Select See other options

Step 3 ----Select topic (Ex. System Update)

Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"

Step 5 ----Select request a call from support

The only way to get it to become backwards compatible is to contact the developers.

The uservoice website is no longer used for voting on upcoming backwards compatible titles.

If it's an existing game that is also on Xbox one, there may be little chance of it becoming backwards compatible since there's an Xbox one version of the game.

The problem with some older games is that some of their developers do not exist anymore - making it hard or impossible to get rights to host the game on Microsoft's servers for you to download.

For the logic if Scarlett become a new generation console looks like the end of 360 backward compatible and let become the xbox one backward compatible. We just can wait and see what Microsoft will do after the launch of the Scarlett.
