Cant Just delete my Xbox live account off of my microsoft account.

I was really hoping it would not come to this but I am very angry when I talked to a customer support rep this was the only way he told me that I was able to complain so here it goes. I was hoping that I could change the Microsoft account under my Xbox
live gamertag to another Microsoft account. When I went to do this it would not let me because it said my Microsoft account I was hoping to switch to already had an Xbox account. So I talked to customer service to see if they could get rid of the xbox account
associated with my Microsoft account, they said they couldn't do it without erasing my whole Microsoft account. I didn't even want to have an Xbox live account hooked up to my Microsoft account but I have a windows phone so it made me make one. So I am getting
punished for having more of your products? This is ridiculous I have spent so much money on Microsoft products and now I cant even simply remove an Xbox account.

It sounds like you have gamertag A attached to Microsoft account A, and want to use Microsoft account B for gamertag A, but unwanted gamertag B is tied to it. Is that correct?

If so, you just need to do a gamertag shuffle with a new email.
support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account. once gamertag B associated with the new account (C), then associate gamertag A with the account you want. And have account C deleted/closed.
