Cant join Xbox Minecraft world from PC (intermittent)

Hey all,

So sometimes I can join. But other times my friend sends me the invite and I never get it.

Have checked NAT, thats fine.

Why is this so hard M$ we both brought this game and it doesn't work???

We understand that you were trying to play Minecraft with your friend. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming with your friend.

As per your description, your NAT is fine and the inability to join Minecraft is intermittent. To better isolate your issue, we would like to ask for few questions:

May we know what version of Minecraft do your friends play that you were unable to join?
May we know if you have installed Minecraft from the website, or Xbox app or Minecraft for Windows?
Do you see any error message or code when you had issues? Please post a screenshot and conceal any personal information.
What is your friends NAT Type and yours? Is there an error message or code in Xbox Network.

If you were using Windows 10, go to PC Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking. Please share any error message/code.

For Windows 11, install Xbox Console Companion and sign into account. Then look for Xbox Networking on settings. Please share any error message/code.
Would you mind sharing the troubleshooting you have done so far?

Who is joining which world? Are you joining her world on PC, or is she joining your world on Xbox?

Was there any change in both of your networking environment, or was additional software installed on her PC like an anti-virus program that came with a third party firewall?

Also are your worlds set to allow multiplayer in the world settings before you enter your world?

Do you get a specific error message that prevents you from joining the multiplayer world?

Did someone join the Minecraft Beta through the Insider Program and is now on a "newer" Minecraft version?

As the others already mentioned, did you make sure both your
online and privacy settings allow you to play online multiplayer and see other people's creations?
