    Can't join my friends in no man's sky


    I'm trying to play no man's sky with my friends and it wont show up the main menu where i can select if i want to play singleplayer or multiplayer (it goes straight to the singleplayer screen and i cant leave), i've tried to join through the xbox overlay
    and it shows that i need to update the settings to play, but when i go to update them, it sends me to this link: https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/security/error-child-trying-to-access-settings

    Did you set your permissions on your Xbox account to be able to join your friends? Can you do it on other games?

    Just in case, please confirm that your Xbox account privacy settings allow your to join clubs, parties and multiplayer:

    Set all the settings related to multiplayer or friends to "Allow" or "Everyone" on the three tabs:

    Privacy;

    Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Windows 10 Online Security;

    Xbox 360 Online Security;

    Note: If you’re on a child account, you’ll need an adult in your family to sign in to their Microsoft account to change your privacy settings. This is done through the Family settings.

    If the issue persists, please let me know if you and your friends are playing the same game mode and if you get an offline status on the game.
