    My parents allowed so I could join multiplayer on Minecraft, but it still doesn't allow me to join

    Hi, my son is having the same issue being unable to join his friend’s minecraft realm when invited. The privacy settings are already set to allow multiplayer, join clubs etc and I renewed the Xbox live gold subscription.

    I’d be so grateful for some help please?! :)

    Thanks for your help. I was able to change my settings. I feel like if you aren't part of an Xbox family, you should be able to play multiplayer at the very least, with strict moderation, at my almost adult age.

    Hey ElijahKelly, how are you today? Hope you're well.

    In order for you to change the privacy settings on your account, that account needs to be an 18+ account.

    Is your account 18+?

    If not:

    Try changing it this way.

    https://account.xbox.com/en-us/Settings?rtc=1&a...

    Go to the top right corner, click on your avatar

    click on my microsoft account

    Click on "Your Information" on the top tab

    go on the date of birth

    Change to a date that matches age 18+.

    Once this is done, log out your microsoft account from all open browser sites,

    wait 20 minutes for the updates to take effect on the server, then click the link below.

    Look for the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab

    And change the settings "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live", "You can create and join clubs", and "You can join multiplayer games" to Allow.

    Once all that is done, wait another 20 minutes to update the changed settings and that's it. :)
