Can’t join friends world.

Hi my name is raven. Ive been trying to join my friends world for weeks but wont let me and they cant join my worlds either and i have had this problem before. I can see their world but when i try to join it wont let me. Ive gone through and checked all
of my settings on microsft, Xbox, and Minecraft and made sure we were both on the same update. Ive tried blocking and unblocking, deleting and redownloading minecraft but nothing seems to work. Theyll try to send me invites to the world but they never come
through and im getting very frustrated because i just want to play minecraft with my friends.

Please help.
