    Can't join friends game , memory issues when have plenty of memory


    says I'm out of memory when try to join in any friends game ! Have over 24.4mb left ..

    constantly being kicked back to main menu , even have game set to multi player & won't go to that start up

    I can't download games on xbox360

    Do you have sufficient memory in your 360e ?

    As the basic console only has 4GB of internal memory which is used for profiles, game saves, etc. and is not of large enough capacity for game downloads.

    Make sure it has an official 250GB fitted as that will give you plenty of memory space to download games.

    Often in the older 360 consoles with the built in memory unit, this issue will occur.

    When the memory unit fails, the Xbox sees that there's an update available since it can't see the update that was on the storage device. When the Xbox tries to download/install the update, the update can't install because of the failed storage device.

    Does your Xbox 360 have the memory unit and/or the hard drive?

    Yes I followed these steps in that order.

    And as u kindly suggested, I plugged a USB memory unit (Sony 16 GB) and configured it correctly in system>memory menu. However, the system would not give me the option to choose the memory unit as the destination when trying to download the game. And please
    don't tell me I have to purchase a new Xbox hard drive for this. That would a waste of money , and the current Hard Drive has plenty of games and DLCs in it.
