Cant join Child to Family

Hi - I cant join one of my daughters to the family group which means she is unable to play some xbox games as her restrictions need changing. I did have her in the family group and xbox support asked me to remove her and rejoin to try to fix an issue. I've
been 3 weeks onto the support and they still haven't fixed it. When I try to join her I get please try again later. I set up a new adult account and tried to join her to this an I get the below error

I am not getting anywhere with support as every time I contact them I spend hours onto them with a new person asking the same questions and doing the same test ( even with giving them the case ref!)

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with adding a child account to your family. I understand this can be frustrating so I’ll do my best to help!

First make sure your daughter isn’t already in a family. An account can only be part of one family at a time.

Try from a different browser (chrome, microsoft edge etc).

Also try adding your daughter to your family on a different device. You can adjust your family settings online on the xbox website, or through the xbox family settings app on mobile or xbox one. You can install the mobile app

For Xbox One:

Profile and System > Settings > Account. Select Family
settings > Manage family members. Select add to family, then select the account you wish to add by pressing A (the green button) on the controller.

Trying from a different device should resolve this issue, otherwise I’m not sure what else to suggest especially as you’ve already talked to support multiple times regarding this. I also understand it doesn’t help that there’s no solutions to this error
message.

Sign into the Family account with your account and remove the account of your son, and then send an invitation as a child account to your sons email. And he can join the FAMILY as a child.

There is no adult account for my child account so I cant change my child account setting. I want to purchase something but cant since i cant find my adult account. When i press on family, it only comes up with my child account.

Hi there,

When the account was created did was the correct birthdate entered so it would put you account at age of Majority (for example - 18 in the U.S) for your region?

Also is the account in a family? If so check to see if it's noted as a child in the family or not. If it is noted as a child in the family try removing it from the family, and then re-joining.

is either one of the accounts a child family member account? if so this may be your issue as child accounts cant be found or search (i believe)
