Can't install Xbox games

    Can't install Xbox games


    Good day

    I'm having trouble installing games that I have installed before.
    I had several games (example: Sea of Thieves) installed on one account. There was some issues with that local account on my PC, and a Microsoft tech helped me to create a new account and delete the old account, that fixed those issues.
    But now any game I had installed on my old account simply refuses to install.

    When I open the Xbox app, it shows I have no games installed. Then I navigate to Sea of Thieves, I click install, I pick the drive and say install.
    Sea of thieves now appear in my games bar on the left hand side of the app, but greyed out and with the clock icon, as if it requires an update.
    If I navigate to it, where the Play or Install button normally are, there is a Resume Install button.
    If I click on it, the game simply vanishes and I get taken to the Xbox home page.

    I have checked my windows store, and the problem games are not there.

    I can install other games that I did not previously had installed without issue.

    Please help.

    I have exactly the same problem with my xbox pc beta, I have installed shadow warrior 2 included in my game pass then it started once, it didn't recognize the Microsoft xbox controller, the game crashed after a minute and since then it can't be installed
    at all, starts installing and immediately tells me it's installed but I can't start it and it doesn't show up in the installed games.

    I have restarted, restarted modem, flushed dns, signed in and out etc, also tried task manager fix. tried looking in windows store for updates, as per recommendation from another website. No luck. The mobile app can't install games, my other computer
    can't install games, the windows store can't install games, and the xbox beta app can't install games. This is seriously broken and I haven't seen any effort from Microsoft to fix it

    Sorry to hear it. It could be that there is an update interfering with the install. Can you try disconnecting the console from the internet for the duration of the install from disc?
