Cant install sea of thieves

Soooo, i'm trying to install sea of thieves from the xbox app on pc. But when i try to download it, it says that the storage you have been trying to download to has been disconnected. When i restart my computer it does download but only till 3, 4% then it stops and says the same error.
I saw that sea of thieves says that it hasn't got the privilege of installing where you want it but only install where the other microsoft apps are? How is that possible ? How hasn't it got the option to do that? Sadly, on my C folder which is a ssd disk i dont have enough space to install it there and i cant get more space freed to do that. So my only option is to install it somewhere else on another hdd disk i have .
Please help me otherwise i want my money back cause i just wasted my money on this game.

i cant uninstall any games as there are no games installed. and my windows is fully updated.

edit: yesterday evening i succesfully installed sea of thieves but deleted it because othergames wouldnt install and now sea of thieves wont install either there are still some games in the recently installed tab in the start menu

It still pulls up with the error when I try to install sea of thieves : / I also tried dragon ball fighterz which after resetting my pc could install but it still cant launch. So sea of thieves cant even download while dragon ball fighterz and other games can but cant launch. They all pop up with the same 0x803f001 error now.

Sea of thieves decided to uninstall itself for some reason over night, making it so that I cant play Sea of Thieves today due to the long download time.

If I buy Sea of Thieves on Steam, can I play with the same account as on the xbox app version? That way I wont need to deal with the Xbox app or its version of Sea of Thieves.

Yes, I can play both Microsoft and non-Microsoft games, but not in the sea of thieves. And maybe it will be important, sea of thieves is installed on Steam

You have other games installed on your HD where you want to install Sea of Thieves, right? So this is not a hardware issue.

Since you mentioned a permission error, please try to change the folder permission on your HD:

- Press Windows + E and go to the drive where you want to install it.

- Locate the XboxGames or WindowsApp folder (check on the Xbox App which folder is being used to install the games). Right-click on it and select Properties.

- Go to the Security tab and select Advanced. Click on Continue in the Permissions tab.

- Select Change. Click on Advanced in the Select User or Group window, then Find now. Select your user account and click on Ok.

- Click on Ok and Apply on every window and close them.

After making the changes, restart your computer and try to install Sea of Thieves there. Let me know exact what error you receive (if you receive one).
